Rapt: Cape Town's Candyland
An open space with a few fun furnishings and counters with delicious assortments of confectionary goodies await.
16-April-2024
When My Sugar closed its doors in late 2022, it left a gapping whole in Cape Town's sweet scene. Where else could you go to get your fun, funky, and flavourful choccie-filled fix?
Thankfully, one half of the visionary behind My Sugar, Kaylah Greenberg, still had some deliciously sweet magic in her and partnered with What Food group, the masterminds behind Truth Coffee. Together, they opened Rapt - The Art of Indulgence on 15 April 2024.
An open space with a few fun furnishings and counters with delicious assortments of confectionary goodies await. So come hungry!
Favourite Flavours:
While there are some new and exciting flavours (hello Maple Caramel and Pomegranate Molasses), old favourites like the Malakoff and Pretzel Bark are still stocking the Bon Bomb shelves. New delightful and tantalising flavours include the Vanilla Strawberry which is ridiculous smooth and just as yummy, the Butter Ganach which is all kinds of buttery goodness, and the sensational Brownie Bomb. And just next door to the Bon Bombs, is the a quirky croissant corner where you can pick up delicious new creations like the cookie croissant.
You'll also want to try their Sudden Ice Cream and toppings bar. Using liquid nitrogen, ice cream is created in front of your eyes like magic and offered in a classic waffle cone, a deliciously messy croissant cone, and the fun stroopwafel cone. Toppings include candied fruit, nuts and a variety of chocolates and sprinkles.
